Even Freddy Krueger got into the horror show hosting business with this 1988-1990 syndicated series.

However, the book is also open to horror, SF, adventure, drama, etc., as well as any combination of genres. It features the work of a lot of talented and diverse creators. The early moments of back-and-forth between the pair crackle with a sort of awkward intensity. The discovery of an old crate in the dark corner of a university laboratory leads to Professor Dexter Stanley (Fritz Weaver) unwittingly unleashing a creature that had been locked up inside its box for nearly 150 years.

After all that time, it makes sense to program a real jolt of a movie, which is certainly one way to appreciate this twisted take on an upper class household gradually destroyed by a mysterious evil visitor. This is more of a hard boiled crime anthology, with some hard boiled horror thrown in the mix. If you’re a fan of the New French Extremity movement, Baskin should be like a bowl of horror candy. Our preferred length is 3500 to 6500 words. Cruising the streets and looking for trouble, K gets into a shoot-out with rival gangsters.

By definition, anthologies concern themselves with the collection of stories; American Horror Story conforms to the tradition in this regard. Four stories, four people – each of them connected to the bizarre fate of Zeno, its bitter heir, and a hostile faery spirit named Mama Lujo. This absence is especially conspicuous to me, as someone who follows the manga world closely, because Japan’s horror manga have a closer tie to the short story format than just about any other manga genre.

Written by Robert Bloch (Psycho) and featuring horror greats Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, The House That Dripped Blood is one of the many British horror anthologies released by Amicus Productions in the ’60s and ’70s. Hoichi’s only hope is to have his body covered with mystical insignias to make him immune to the ghost’s influence. This book would be most highly entertaining for the 15-18 year old group. The film stars Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, and Leslie Nielsen among others and revolves around a boy reading a comic book called Creepshow.
